It's All About Lizzy (Today!)

People ask which puppy I'm keeping.  Which is my favorite?  I honestly say, I don't know!  I like them all!  Today Lizzy got to go to the pool and master the stairs from the pool area to the patio.  For that, and by accident, all of today's photos and videos (except one) are of her.  She's a cutie for sure!  She's the one who likes the ball pit.  She's pretty unflappable.  She doesn't start the arguments with other puppies, but she will certainly finish them.  Last night, I failed to mention that she walked the entire length of the teeter!  Imagine that!  When I put her on the table to look at her in the mirror, she's pretty easy to get into a nice show stack.  Is she my keeper?  WHO KNOWS?  I've got my eyes on all of them!  I really want a boy because I miss my Raj so much, and both Baili and Rhani loved him so much and miss him too.  But in the end, I could live with any of these puppies and will keep the one who has what my more experienced puppy evaluators will help me decide is the best one for showing and breeding down the road.

Before the photos and videos, just a couple little tidbits of information regarding puppy development...
  • They are still pokey and not big eaters.  They rarely finish a meal of 2 cups of kibble and then savage their mama, whose milk is about gone, the first chance they get.  Rhani tolerates it to a point and then looks for an escape route.  None of them, except Rita, are lean though, so I guess I will not worry about it.  They are clearly getting enough to eat.
  • Only Jo Jo still dreads the ball pit.  No one but Lizzy is much interested in playing in it though.  Lizzy is hysterical.  If the pit is on her path to wherever she is going she just walks right through it rather than going around it.
  • They are still being VERY good about using the indoor grass mat for 99% of their pees.  If they miss, it's right beside it.  Outside - rarely!  That space is bigger and the mat is out of their line of sight and play area.
  • So far, since turning three weeks old, they have met 33 different people besides Dave and me.  This includes two 1-6 year olds, one 7-12 year old, six teenagers, 14 adult women and 10 adult men.  Some of these, they've seen two-three times, like our visitors today - Peggy, Cameron and Kelly!   Their social calendar is booked through the weekend with more visitors every day!
  • So far, they've eaten out of 6 different types of food containers. (metal pie plates, metal muffin tin, Rubber Maid storage container, metal dog food bowls, ceramic dog food bowls, and disposable aluminum cookie trays)  They've also had meals in their inside area and their patio area.  I need to take them to different rooms in the house to feed and play with them!
  • Rhani is beginning to show play signs with them.  See photos below.  They really need to be outside the pens for her to feel comfortable about this because it's just too crowded in the confined areas.
Enjoy the photos and videos!

Until next time....

I like to keep a diary of the puppies as much for myself as  for prospective puppy buyers and interested friends.  Sadly my blogs for Lucy's and Baili's litters are no longer available due to legacy systems, but I saved them off as pdf's and was reviewing them last night.  It was a good refresher on all kinds of things and brought back lots of good memories.  Looking forward to Imagine memories too!
