10/1/2020 0 Comments It's Soooooo Quiet Around Here! It's been two days since Lizzy left and three since Maxwell and Sadie went to their new homes. I'm getting good reports from all three that they fell right into their new routines and new homes! Yay! I miss them, but they are getting undivided attention, love and learning people and house manners as they should! Rita and Jo Jo are settling down as well. And Rhani is playing with them a lot more now that there are just two of them. Don't let this photo fool you! They were just taking a break from playtime! I think I finally got all the paperwork related to the litter finished today! I just need to register Rita with AKC and send her updated owner info and name to OFA once it is all official on Saturday when she leaves. I am going to cry like a baby when that little sweetie is gone. Imagine that! She is a pistol but she's so stinking cute. She's the only one of these puppies that will live far away from me so I will only rarely get to see her if my dog show travel takes me her way. I will probably arrange for that to happen! This afternoon, I decided to take Jo Jo and Rita each for a little neighborhood walk. Both did amazingly well on the leash considering they only had one previous experience with it. Rita and I walked .34 miles and Jo Jo and I went .38. They both met another one of our neighbors that they had not met before. The big bonus was that Steven was out playing with the puppies' Great Aunt Lexi! The puppies both were so excited to see Lexi (their first real encounter with another dog besides their mom and littermates), but Lexi was less happy about it and let them know it. Their feelings were hurt. LOL. But they accepted that she was doing her best to ignore them! Jo Jo will join the DDLP (Dalmatian Distance Log Program). That's a program DCA offers for those of us who walk with our dogs to keep track of our miles with them. Each year members of the DDLP get a cool T-shirt and a certificate. I joined the program in 2013, and have so far logged 12,372.5 miles with my spots! My goal is to walk the equivalent of the circumference of the Earth at the Equator with them! Only 12,168.9 miles to go! LOL! Jo Jo's 2020 goal is 100 miles between now and the end of the year. We will keep his walks to a half mile or so for now and gradually increase the distance as he gets bigger. Both puppies took a huge nap after their walks today! Here's a little video of Jo Jo during our walk today. We will work on walking in a straight line! And here are a few photos from the past couple days. Lizzy and Maxwell are terribly stressed out in their new homes - NOT! And that's Lexi ignoring Jo Jo. Enjoy!
Until next time...

Toni LinstedtI like to keep a diary of the puppies as much for myself as for prospective puppy buyers and interested friends. Sadly my blogs for Lucy's and Baili's litters are no longer available due to legacy systems, but I saved them off as pdf's and was reviewing them last night. It was a good refresher on all kinds of things and brought back lots of good memories. Looking forward to Imagine memories too! Archives
